About Miss B
I began my journey to eating and preparing delicious and healthy food sixteen years ago, and during the past three and a half years I have been eating with a 'high raw' approach, sometimes eating almost 100% raw food, but more often combining some of my favorite cooked food with my favorite raw food. This has enabled me to reach a delicious and achievable balance. My food is made without meat so is ideal for people wanting to reduce their meat consumption, or for those who already have. It is also dairy (and lactose) free and egg free and is usually gluten free so is suitable for so many people. And best of all it tastes so fantastic that it's hard to believe that it's actually healthy!
I love sharing my beautiful food with others - it makes me all tingly inside - and it's because people have been loving my food so much that I decided to share my food magic in the form of recipe books and courses. Now you too can enjoy the food that makes people "wow!" with delight whenever they eat it, and share the feelings of well-being after it's passed from your tongue to your tummy.
A vegetarian since 1991 and a vegan since January 2003 (one very successful and growth-enhancing new year's resolution!) I have been delighting people with my food for many years. I have worked as Manager of a Veggie/Vegan Cafe as well as a busy Veggie/Vegan restaurant. These were two very exciting roles where I was also involved in the menu planning and food magic making. What made my time as restaurant manager even more exciting and challenging was that it was based in the middle of the jungle in Costa Rica!
Nutrition has fascinated me for many years. I have read a lot on this subject and hold a diploma in Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition. My days revolve around preparing and learning about food, and I am constantly astounded by the way that what we put in our mouths and bodies can affect our health, moods and vitality.
As well as benefiting my own well-being, my in-depth knowledge and experience of the vegan diet and lifestyle has also been put to good use while working as Information Officer at The Vegan Society in England, where I advised, informed and supported both individuals and companies with all matters regarding veganism.
In addition to being a passionate food magician I am a graphic designer (you can see some of my work here ), so I can't but help to put extra love and energy into the presentation of my dishes and recipes. I want you to see the beauty of this food so that you can give yourself the chance to step into a world of Life-Loving Food.
Other interests include music (I dabble with the guitar, ukulele, guitarlele and djembe drum), dancing, being in nature and self development. Food styling and photography have also begun to appeal to me, which is just deepening my obsession with food! I currently live just outside Stockholm, but I am originally from the UK where I was raised in the beautiful Welsh hills.
So now you know a bit more about me, please do let me join you on your journey to bring beautiful, delicious, nutritious and life-giving food in to your world. Make your relationship with food a happy and balanced one!
